Steal This DRM-Free Comic

Thank you xkcd. This is one of my favourite web comics and this most recent strip agrees with my view on this situation perfectly.
It is something that our conservative government regrettably is not agreeing with. And for that we can thank the Americans (not the Danes).
Down with Itunes! I'm with AC/DC on this one!

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. History has shown that music(media) collections are not forever. Think of LP's, 8-tracks, Audio tapes, BETA VCRs, etc. etc. Or a more recent example, HD-DVD. Those with HD-DVD's and players are screwed! Music CD's are dying as memory devices are becoming cheaper and the G.P. are buying online vs going to actual music stores.
So things change...guaranteed. What is now will always become obsolete, regardless of how it's obtained, legally or otherwise. So get used to the idea that eventually you will have buy or steal your digital media as formats and technologies change. It's your choice. I'd advise the ethical route.

i don't really agree.
that may have been true with analog formats. but ever since we have switched to digital we have been able to convert our files to the latest format (think CD to MP3).
Now that it is digital it will be easily converted to the next format.
DRM stops you in your tracks though.
